Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Originally, the land the Art of Animation Resort occupies was planned to be part of Disney’s Pop Century Resort as part of the “Legendary Years” section; abandoned during the post-9/11 tourism slow-down.
The resort is designed “with families in mind.” It features four of Disney’s popular character themes: Cars, Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. Much like the other Disney Value Resorts, giant versions of various items are built around the hotel on each of the ten wings, such as a 35-foot (11 m) model of King Triton.

In total, there are 1,984 rooms, of which 1,120 are family suites capable of housing up to six people, featuring living rooms and bedrooms. The remaining 864 sport the standard value layout. The resort has a total of ten buildings, as well as three themed pools. “The Big Blue Pool” is the largest hotel pool in all of Walt Disney World Resort.

The Little Mermaid rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are themed after everyone’s favorite mermaid! This room could have a view of the courtyard, pool, or parking area with 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed. These rooms look very similar to the Pop Century rooms, with a Little Mermaid theme.

Disney’s Art of Animation Pools
The three pools at Disney’s Art of Animation pools can be found in the Finding Nemo, Cars, and Little Mermaid sections of the resort. The theming of each pool coincides with the theming of the resort in each area. The Big Blue Pool sits in between the main Finding Nemo buildings and includes a splash park area for children.

- 2 More Pools: There are two additional pools at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The Cozy Cone Pool, inspired by the Disney•Pixar film Cars, and Flippin’ Fins Pool, featuring the “Under the Sea Orchestra” conducted by Sebastian from The Little Mermaid—are also available to guests looking to cool off.

Locker Rentals
Single-use, coin-operated lockers are available to rent at The Big Blue Pool, Flippin’ Fins Pool, and Cozy Cone Pool. An additional fee is required every time a locker is locked.
Mail Service
Postcards, letters, and pre-packed, pre-labeled packages with postage already applied can be mailed at the Front Desk or Concierge Desk. If you intend to receive mail during your stay, be sure to have the mail sent to the mailing address of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, in addition to having the word “Guest” and the date of your arrival at the hotel clearly stated on the package.
Merchandise Delivery & Pickup
