Michelle (Micki) went to Disney World for the first time in 1978 when she was 7 years old and living in the Florida panhandle. Her father was in the military and as military families often do, they traveled extensively to many places across the globe during her father’s 26-year career. The family moved back to Florida in 1987 and Michelle’s mother loved Disney World so much that the family went as often as they possibly could. Once Michelle started having children of her own, that was even more of an incentive for their entire family to go back for even bigger family Disney vacations.
Michelle definitely inherited her mother’s love/obsession with Disney. Now that her mother has passed, Michelle’s travels to Disney always brings back those wonderful memories that she shared with her mother and her entire family those many years ago. Now Michelle shares those memories with her 3 granddaughters. Her oldest was born with a limb difference and is a patient of Shriner’s hospital in Tampa. They must make 3 trips every year to Shriner’s for a new prosthetic, so they try to make the hospital trip enjoyable by stopping in at Disney World, which both her daughter and granddaughters love and anticipate. One of Michelle’s biggest regrets is that her family never made it to Tokyo Disney while they lived in Japan. Now one of her goals in life is to travel to all the Disney parks around the world. Because Michelle was raised in a military family, she has been able to live and travel to many different parts of the world and is excited with the prospect of being able to share some of those locations and journeys with new travelers. Michelle stated that she has found her dream job and she is very excited to help you plan your next dream vacation. |
