Traveling Tips

Before you arrive:

Plan your daily itineraries and directions to attractions

Set your budget and stick to it

Give a friend or family member your itinerary and hotel information

Bring credit cards, drivers license, and traveler checks

Get directions to the hotel 

Bring lots of cool clothing, hats, sunglasses, swimsuit, and good sunblock

Other tips:

Bring water, juices, and snacks with you to the theme parks. It is very hot in Central Florida and you want to keep your family  hydrated. Drinks and snacks can also be costly for a family so save some money by bringing a backpack with snacks and drinks with you.

Take advantage of Disney and Universal Studios early park admissions. Both parks have special programs where you can get into the parks early in the morning when it is not as crowded.

Always keep an eye on your children! Florida has lots of water including ponds and pools. Many children are not familiar with the dangers of water.

Plan a meeting spot at each theme park just in case your family gets separated.

If you have small children who cannot ride certain attractions, try the baby swap.  One parent rides the attraction while the other parent waits in a lobby area with the children and then they switch.
