Print this timeline, so you know when you need to make decisions for your Disney World vacation including dining, spa treatments, other theme park tickets, online check in, and more.

 

 

Up to 180 Days Before your Disney World Vacation

Book your Dining Reservations

  • We highly suggest you book your favorite Disney World Restaurants or Dinner Shows prior to your vacation.  This will save you time waiting in lines at Guest Services and in lines at the restaurants.  You can start booking these dining reservations at least 90 days prior to your arrival.  Remember you get a free voucher for lunch or dinner at Planet Hollywood with your MYW Package, don't forget to make a dining reservation for this restaurant, too.  Click here for all of the Dining at Disney World.

Pre-Order Other Orlando Theme Parks or Attractions Tickets

  • If you are planning on visiting Universal Studios, Sea World, or other attractions in Orlando be sure to talk with your Disney Specialist.  You can often save money by pre-ordering your tickets plus you may have to arrange additional transportation to these attractions.  Your Disney Specialist can help you with these details.

Up to 90 Days Before your Disney World Vacation

Book your Spa Treatments or Recreation

  • If you want to relax during your vacation with a spa treatment at the spas at either Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, you do need to make reservations before your visit.  There is a very limited number of reservations available for these select spa treatments.  Click here for the spa treatments available.

  • If you want to parasail, learn to surf, drive a racecar, golf, or even take a horse drawn Carriage Ride during your Disney World vacation you do need to make a reservation before your visit.  Some of the more popular recreational activities like golf, parasailing, and Richard Petty Driving Experience does book up prior to arrival.  You can book your recreation activities up to 90 days prior to your arrival.  Click here for all of the Recreation at Disney World.

Book your Cirque du Soleil Tickets

If you want to experience the amazing La Nouba Show at Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney, you need to purchase your tickets before you leave for your vacation.  This is a very popular show and does sell out.  You can book your recreation activities up to 180 days prior to your arrival. 

Book your Magical Gatherings (only for groups of 8 people or more)

  • If you have a group of 8 people (over the age of 3) or more, you can take advantage of the amazing Magical Gathering experiences.  The extra experiences are only available for groups of 8 people or more.  These do book up early!  You can book your Magical Gathering from 180-3 days prior to arrival. 

45 Days Before your Disney World Vacation

Make Your Final Payment on your Disney World Package

  • Make sure you make your Disney World Package final payment 45 days prior to your arrival. Disney does require payment in full 45 days prior to your vacation.

Magical Express Transfers

  • As a Disney Resort guest, you can take advantage of the free Magical Express transfers and baggage handling from the Orlando International Airport (MCO) to your Disney Resort.  If you booked airfare, email your Disney Specialist with your flight numbers and airlines so you can take advantage of the Magical Express Transfers and Baggage Handling. 

5-10 Days Before your Disney World Vacation

Review Your Package Documents

  • You will receive your package documents 5-10 days before you leave for your Disney World vacation. Be sure you look over your package documents to make sure there are not any corrections or updates before you leave for Disney.

Online Check In

  • You can check in to your Disney Resort at least 5 days prior to your arrival.  You will complete the online line check and Disney will email you a form.  You will sign this form anywhere at the bottom of the email and bring this and a picture ID with you to check in to Disney World.  This online check in is not required, but it will save you 30 minutes to an hour once you check in to your Disney Resort.  Click here to start the Online Check In.
