PinFormation - A Guide to Pin Trading

Disney Pin Trading is an exciting, interactive experience where Disney can trade Disney pins with Disney World Cast Members (Disney employees) and other Guests.  It's fun for the whole family and CREATES cherished "pin pals" to last a lifetime!  Start a new collection or exchange pins for the ones you've always wanted.

How can I experience the magic?  It's simple and fun!  Just locate a Disney Cast Member wearing a lanyard with Disney pins and find a pin you'd like.  Then present another Disney pin to the Cast Member to trade.  Bringing home the magic is that simple.

Which pins should I collect or trade?  The fun of Disney Pin Trading is the amazing variety.  Find your favorite pins to personalize your Disney experience.  Guests of all ages can hunt for favorite characters, attractions, and features.  Pin trading is an easy way to share the magic and bring home wonderful Disney memories.

Where can I trade pins with other Guests?  Disney has Pin Trading Stations located throughout Disney World.  You can trade pins with other guests at Island Mercantile at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, Exposition Hall at Magic Kingdom® Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Sorcerer's Hat at Disney-MGM Studios, Pin Central at Epcot®, and World of Disney at Downtown Disney® Marketplace.

Trading Pin Etiquette:

  • Have fun!  Pin trading is a great way to interact with and meet Cast Members and other Guests

  • Pins should be in good and undamaged condition

  • Trade one pin at a time, hand to hand, with backs attached

  • Guest can trade a maximum of two pins with each Cast Member

  • Certain pins should be traded as sets.

  • Only operating participant pins that have a Disney or Walt Disney World affiliation will be accepted for trading

  • Name pins or tags may not be traded with Cast Members

  • Always offer a pin that is not already displayed on the Guests or Cast Members lanyard

  • Monies or gifts may not be exchanged or used in trade for a pin

  • In addition to the 12 pins on Cast lanyards, some Cast Members may wear a "Showcase" pin.  These "Showcase" pins are for demonstrations to our guests and are not available for trade
