Christmas at the Walt Disney World® Resort

Christmas is one of the most amazing times to visit the Walt Disney World®  Resort with beautiful decorations and extra magical special events and activities.  Here are the Holiday activities at Disney World during your November and December vacation!

 

Magic Kingdom®  Park

 

A winter wonderland of holiday fun awaits you at the Magic Kingdom® Park in 2007 – Nov. 13, 17, 27, 28, & 30 and Dec. 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21, & 22.  Separate admission to the event is required.

Each date features delicious treats served at locations throughout the Theme Park, two performances of "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade" with Santa and Mrs. Claus, holiday storytelling, live music, unique merchandise and exclusive Disney character shows, including "Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas" and "Celebrate the Season.”  New this year is a spectacular fireworks display filled with traditional holiday music.

On top of that, you can enjoy unlimited use of some of the most popular attractions. But that's not all.  The weather forecast predicts snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A. , and you may even get a holiday greeting from Santa Goofy!  Advance tickets (for select days) for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are $39.95 (plus tax) for Guests ages 10 and above, $31.95 (plus tax) for Guests ages 3-9. Children under 3 are admitted at no charge.  Tickets on the day of each party are $45.95 (plus tax) for Guests ages 10 and above, $37.95 (plus tax) for Guests ages 3-9.

 

Seasonal Parades at Magic Kingdom

If you are visiting Magic Kingdom® Park this holiday season can get a full dose of holiday cheer by strolling along Main Street, U.S.A., where Disney elves have decked the halls with towering Christmas trees, colorful lights, bows and garland.  Mickey and Minnie, toy soldiers, giant gingerbread men and plenty more also greet Guests during special daytime runs of "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade."  The parade is included in regular park admission on select dates.

 


Epcot

Holidays Around the World

World Showcase at Epcot is home to international holiday lore and legends during the Holidays Around the World celebration from Nov. 25-Dec. 30.  Not only can you meet Santa Claus at the American Adventure, but you will also have the opportunity to hear storytellers detail the adventures of Père Noël in France, La Befana in Italy and other holiday legends from around the world.

The celebration includes a nightly tree lighting ceremony with Mickey Mouse and friends, plus a luminous light bridge that sparkles the breezeway to World Showcase Plaza.  Kwanzaa and Hanukkah observances are also featured.  As an extra-festive bonus, "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" – the nighttime spectacular featuring fireworks, water and lasers – will have a touch of holiday magic added to its finale.

Candlelight Processional

One of the most beloved holiday traditions at the Walt Disney World Resort is the Candlelight Processional from Nov. 25 through Dec. 30.  This incredible tradition treats you to a grand musical performance by a mass choir and 50-piece orchestra, who are joined by celebrity narrators retelling the Christmas story.

The renowned show is staged each evening at 5:00 , 6:45 and 8:15 p.m. at the America Gardens Theatre.  This year’s celebrity lineup (which is subject to change) includes:

Disney-MGM Studios

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

One of Disney's biggest holiday happening, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights, will sparkle at the Disney-MGM Studios from Nov. 13 through Jan. 7.

This Disney holiday tradition will once again brighten the streets, featuring millions of sparkling bulbs that illuminate everything from trees to porches. There are even 3-D and motion-based displays, a giant holiday-light Mickey Mouse, dozens of flying angels and several giant Santa Claus light creations. And don’t forget about that "Florida snow," as well as other Disney holiday surprises.

You will also be able to enjoy the "Hollywood Holly-Day," which features festively dressed parade cars, holiday chorus performers and loveable Disney characters that come together to create a seasonal parade with a hometown feel.

All of this is included with regular admission to the Disney-MGM Studios during the holiday season.


Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park welcomes the holiday season with a jolly parade – “Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade.”  This holiday extravaganza blends the spirit of the wild with the spirit of the holidays. The parade is included with regular park admission and entertains you from Nov. 13 through Jan. 7.

Gathered around a towering 65-foot Christmas tree at the park's entrance, carolers will welcome Guests to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park with renditions of favorite seasonal classics.

At Camp Minnie-Mickey, you may even get to meet Santa Goofy and other Disney characters dressed in their holiday best at Santa Goofy's Holiday Village.  The village is decorated with festively ornamented Christmas trees and features live entertainers and photo opportunities.  The songs of the season resonate as carolers round out the scene.

Even DinoLand U.S.A. takes on a festive flair as Donald Duck decks the halls of Donald's Breakfastosaurus, the daily character breakfast presented at Restaurantosaurus.

Festival of the Seasons

Enjoy the hustle, bustle and good cheer of the holiday season at Downtown Disney® with shopping, live entertainment and a fantastic photo opportunity with Santa himself.  This makes for a  perfect one-stop, holiday shop location. Check out the dazzling displays of lights and the special holiday window dressings that adorn the shops and restaurants. Enjoy seasonal carolers and musical acts along with holiday variety performers throughout Downtown Disney® during the holidays. Downtown Disney® is a real winter wonderland.
