We are going to skip the Where in the World is Mickey Mouse contest for this week! In place of this contest, we are offering another contest in honor of the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter Park opening on June 18. We are giving away a grand opening Wizarding World of Harry Potter Park wand, right from Universal Studios. This is a limited edition wand! Check out these details to register to win this Harry Potter Park wand.
This is a very limited edition wand that you cannot buy at Ollivander's Wand Shop in the new park or on the WBStore (the official store for Harry Potter merchandise)....at least, not as of right now. It was part of a special package sent to a very limited number of people and we were one of the lucky few! This will be a truly unique collector's item.
As you can see in the photo, it comes in it's very own box --- even if Universal were to begin selling this exact Harry Potter wand, you will likely never be able to get it in a special "grand opening celebration" box. We're including the box with the the wand for the winner!
Now, for the important part. How do you win it?
Well, there are several different ways to get "entries" into the contest. With each entry, you increase your chances to be randomly selected to win the wand. The contest will run from June 1 (today) through the grand opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Park on June 18th, 2010!
How to Get Entries for the Harry Potter Park Wand Contest
- Tweet about the contest. You must tweet through the following link to be a valid entry. Tweet for an entry! This is good for one entry and you may only tweet once per Twitter account.
- Sign up for our Harry Potter Park email newsletter. Not only will you get our latest blog posts, the most current information about the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter Park, deals, specials, discounts, etc. -- you'll also get 5 entries for the contest! Obviously, you will only get credit for a single email address. In order for us to count the sign-ups, you must forward the confirmation email to info@wizardingworldpark.com.
- Write a blog post about the contest for 3 entries! In order for us to know about the post, you'll need to use the following URL for the trackback: http://wizardingworldpark.com/win-harry-potter-park-wand/2010/06/01/ If you don't use that URL, we won't know about the post and won't be able to count your entries. You can write as many posts as you like for 3 entries, each!
- Comment on this post! You will get a single entry for adding a comment -- this does not mean you get an entry per comment; you can comment 100 times and you will get one entry, only! One comment or a hundred equals one entry.

Oh my gosh! I will be there two days after Harry Potter World opens!!! I am so excited, I’ve had a tough year of teaching first graders and I need a little fun. =)

My 7 and 10 year old daughters know every inch of these books and the movies. We are going to the park and have our tickets already in 14 days. I haven’t read the books but am having a crash course by watching the movies before we go…..and being tutored on all things Potter by my girls.

Wow! What an awesome collectible item and I’m amazed that you are even offering this as a prize. If I was in your shoes, I’d have a hard time parting with such a wonderful item that was distributed to a limited number of people. It would’ve gone straight to the glass case displaying all my collectibles…haha
