When you think of a Disney Cruise, I am sure you think about kids! It is true, Disney Cruise Ships have incredible activities, events, dining and more just for kids. Recently on the Disney Magic, I learned that Disney Imagineers even considered the height of the ceilings when designing and building the Disney Cruise Ships.
One of the best features of the Disney Cruise Lines is the Children Programming. Disney offers the Oceaneer Club and the Oceaneer Lab with lots of incredible activities and Character Meet and Greets for kids. These two clubs are located on Deck 5 of the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic. The Disney Imagineers who created these ships wanted to make the kids on this Deck feel comfortable in this area, so the ceiling is actually much lower (just on Deck 5) on these ships. This way the kids feel more empowered and comfortable on the Children Programming Deck.
The picture on the right shows the top floor which is Deck 5 and then take a look at the Deck 4 right below it. You can see the difference in height (about 4 feet) between the two Decks. This incredible attention to detail is something you will only find on a Disney Ship.
