Do you like thrills? Do you like roller coasters? Do you like music? We have the perfect ride for you! Universal Studios opened the newest roller coaster called Hollywood Rip, Ride, ROCKIT this week. This new roller coaster starts at the front entrance to Universal Studios and runs along the park to the back, past the Twister attraction. It is incredible to watch the coaster drop and loop around the Universal Studios Orlando Theme Park. Besides all of the fun drops and loops, you will rock out to live music as you wait in the queline, which does make the wait a little more fun.
On the roller coaster, you get to pick your own music soundtrack to rock to while you ride! The new Hollywood Rip, Ride, ROCKIT has some incredible highlights. To start the coaster, you have a 167 foot tall climb 90 degrees straight up (picture on the left). That first climb and drop will may you scream!
Another highlight is the Double Take, which is the world's largest non-inverted loop which is 130 feet wide. This coaster also has some brand new moves including the Treble Clef, which was inspired by music and the Jump Cut. The Jump Cut is awesome with a spiraling twist with negative G force.
This new roller coaster is amazing with drops, twists, and loops that will impress any coaster fan.
This roller coaster will soon make the top coaster in Orlando, behind those other popular Islands of Adventure coasters, called Dueling Dragons and Hulk.
Hollywood Rip, Ride, ROCKIT is not a Universal Express ride, since it is brand new. This means you will have a long wait, so be prepared. Plan on arriving to the park early and heading straight to the roller coaster. Some mornings, this roller coaster is opening a little after the park opening. On the day we went, the park opened at 9 AM and the line was already 300 people when we arrived at 9:15. The roller coaster did not open until 11 AM. Be prepared for long lines, but it is incredible for any coaster fan. In a few months, Universal Studios will make this a Universal Express ride.
