New Roller Coaster at Sea World Takes Test Flight

by admin on March 27, 2009

As Orlando locals, we get so excited when something new comes to the Theme Parks.  This year is full of new rides, parades, and promotions.  One of my personal favorites is roller coasters.  The roller coaster I have been waiting to ride is called the Manta at Sea World Orlando.  This new roller coaster is opening this Spring.  This week, Manta took its first test flight.  Check out the fun video of Sea World's Manta:

This is going to be a very fun ride. I had the opportunity to be in on the building of the majority of the ride and loading station.

The que line will lead visitors through an aquarium filled with different kinds of rays (manta, sting, etc) which is going to be great in itself. The coaster is a “Flying” coaster. Riders will initially start in a seated position that will then lift them into a belly down position so to get the sensation of flying, and personally I’m looking forward to the first loop, which comes right after the first lift coming out of the station. The loop is inverted. In otherwords instead of going into the loop from the bottom up you go into it from the top down.

It’s going to be great
