Surf’s Up at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

For the ultimate surf waves right in the middle of the Walt Disney World Resort, try Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark!  Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is the perfect day away from the Disney Theme Parks for some sun and fun.  The Disney legend is that a furious storm once roared across the sea, hurling surfboards into trees, blowing small boats through roofs and impaling a shrimp boat on a peak of a great volcanic mountain.  Left in the typhoon's wake was a water park filled with twisting tides, roaring rapids, wonderful waterways and relaxing rivers called Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.

There are several extra fun attractions at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.  One of our favorites is Shark Reef.  Imagine getting a training on using snorkeling equipment and then diving into a salt water pool with hundreds of tropical fish and sharks.  Welcome to Shark Reef!  For those guests that want to see all of the fish and stay dry, you can walk through the submarine and view the fish through the port holes.

One of the newest and most popular water roller coasters is Crush 'n' Gusher.  Defy gravity as gushing, crushing jets of water rush your raft through this exceptional coaster experience.  Discover a surprise around every corner as you slip and slide at each suspense-filled climb, turn and breathtaking plunge.  Surge as the torrents deliver exactly what you want: wild, wonderful white-knuckle thrills!

Be sure to spend lots of time catching waves in the Wave Pool at Typhoon Lagoon.  This Wave Pool is one of the world's largest wave pools that produces real surf waves.  Hang ten dude!  You can also just relax on the white sandy beaches with the soothing sounds of waves crashing every few seconds.

To enjoy all the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer, plan on a day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  Check out this fun video for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.  For more information, contact one of our Disney Specialists at Destinations in Florida Travel.
