There are lots of renovations at the Disney Resorts this time of year. Disney is in the process of building two new Disney Vacation Club additions at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort. These two construction projects are huge projects, but are not affecting the guest experience at these Disney Resorts. Besides these construction projects, there are lots of pool and resort amenities at some of the other Disney Resorts. Some of these closings include:
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Tennis Courts & Playground: 10/1/06 - 8/31/09
The tennis courts and playground are closed until further notice while work is being done in the area.
Contemporary Mickey Mouse Pool: 01/05/09 - 03/15/09
This resort will have the Bay Lake Pool open and you can also use the pool at Disney's Polynesian Resort while this main pool is under construction.
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
Meadow Swimmin' Pool: 01/12/09 - 03/20/09
You can use the Wilderness Swimmin' Pool or use Disney's Wilderness Lodge's pool while this pool is getting renovated.
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort
High Rock Spring Pool: 03/09/09 - 03/30/09
During this time, you can use the three leisure pools located throughout the resort. You can also use the pool at Disney's Old Key West Resort.
Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort
Stormalong Bay Pool: 01/05/09 - 04/15/09
During this time, sections of the feature pool will be closed for refurbishment. You may continue to use the three leisure pools located throughout the resort. Additionally, the feature pool at Disney's BoardWalk Resort will be available for guests who wish to have a slide as part of the pool experience.
