Disney is sure to please this New Year’s Eve! A kaleidoscope of colors and elaborate light displays will decorate the skies on the final night of 2008 at the Walt Disney World Resort. On Dec. 31, dazzling fireworks shows, live entertainment and extended Theme Park hours throughout the Walt Disney World Resort will make it an exciting spot for you to ring in the New Year.
Here is a look at the exciting line-up for New Year’s Eve:
The Magic Kingdom Park will stay open into the wee hours with parades and firework galore! The park will glow with SpectroMagic parade at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The "Holiday Wishes" fireworks display, the boldest and brightest pyrotechnics show at Disney, will take place at 8:30 p.m., and the sky will light up with the grand finale of Fantasy in the Sky fireworks at 11:50 p.m.
Epcot will present a special version of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. This laser-light and fireworks spectacular, featuring dancing flames and cascading fountains orchestrated to an original musical score, will be presented at 7:40 p.m. and 11:50 p.m.
Disney's Hollywood Studios will host Fantasmic!, the lavish spectacular of water animation, lasers and fireworks. You can take advantage of two show times on New Year’s Eve, at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. In addition, revelers can "rock on" with live performances by in-park band "Mulch, Sweat and Shears," plus a DJ spinning tunes at Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. A special Lights, Camera, Happy New Year fireworks show will light the night sky at 11:50 p.m.

As always Mulch, Sweat, and Shears, the cover band that plays year ’round on the Streets of America at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios is playing New Year’s Eve shows. These shows are very popular so arrive early.
Show times are 8:00pm, 9:00pm, 10:00pm, and 11:00pm with the fireworks show beginning as close to Midnight as possible. Yes – they are playing a show with the fireworks! It’s going to be awesome. There are a few new surprises
this year including a bigger band and some new material.
Mulch has a big following including a large number of video on YouTube, a facebook fan page, and their own CD under the name Los Lawn Boys.
