Buzz Lightyear is heading to Infinity and Beyond! On May 31, the Space Shuttle Discovery had an extra passenger on board. A 12 inch tall Buzz Lightyear figurine accommpanied the space shuttle crew on their mission into space. Thie Buzz Lightyear toy will be part of a partnership between Disney and NASA called "Toys in Space." This first program is a Space Ranger Education Series to encourage and excite kids about space, science, and technology. The program will feature materials and online games for educators and students. Educators can go to the website www.nasa.gov to download the materials for this program.
Buzz will spend his space trip on the International Space Station testing zero gravitity. The astronants will conduct several experiments with Buzz during his trip.
