We are all big fans of the transportation system at Disney World! For the largest transportation system in the World, Disney does a great time getting guests to all areas of Disney World. The transportation takes guests from the Disney Resorts to the Theme Parks to Downtown Disney to the Disney Waterparks. Disney Motorcoach Transportation runs every 15-25 minutes from each Disney Resort to anywhere at Disney World.
Most of the resorts have buses that go straight from the resort to each of the Theme Parks. Each Theme Park has their own buses from the resort, so you usually have only one main stop. The only exception is Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The Waterparks like Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are usually combined with another stop. Blizzard Beach usually rides the same bus as Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. There is an extra stop at Blizzard Beach before or after the stop at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. For Typhoon Lagoon, guests usually ride the bus for Downtown Disney guests. This bus makes an extra stop at this Waterpark before or heading back from Downtown Disney.
If you are planning on visiting another Disney Resort, you will have a little bit longer transportation time. Disney does not have a direct bus from one Disney Resort to another Disney Resort. You will have to go to one of the main hubs at either Downtown Disney or at one of the Disney Theme Parks to change buses. You will ride the bus to one of these locations and then take another bus to the Disney Resort. Disney transportation always suggest planning at least 1 hour transportation time to wait for the buses and get to another location at the Walt Disney World Resort.
The transportation system is huge and can be a little confusing. When you check into your resort, you will receive a Transportation Guide for your Disney Resort. This is an easier way to determine the best transportation options for your vacation. If you have any questions, you can always call the Front Desk of your resort or ask a Disney Cast Member.
The Disney Motorcoach Transportation is a free service for staying at a Disney Resort. Besides being a free service, it will make your vacation stress free. You do not have to fight traffic, get directions, or pay for parking fees. Disney takes you where you need to go!
